About the event

Join Composer Stephanie Ann Boyd and the WSO on Wednesday, March 9th for a FREE panel discussion about the cultural, historical, and political context of the WSO’s upcoming Suffragette Symphony. Director of the Wyoming Women's Foundation Rebekah Smith, Casper College History Instructor Tanis Lovercheck-Saunders, and Composer Stephanie Ann Boyd will discuss the composition, Julia Louisa Esther, and how the historical legacy of Women’s Suffrage is reflected in the piece and the socio-political challenges Wyoming Women face today. The panel will be moderated by Brook Kaufman, CEO of Visit Casper and Natrona County Commissioner. 

This free event will take place on March 9, 2022 at the Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center with a “happy hour” from 5:15 to 5:45 and the panel will start at 5:45. Tickets are not required, but please RSVP.
