Education & Outreach

Through our education and outreach programs, the WSO strives to expand the musical horizons of children and enrich the cultural lives of adults.  We create opportunities for all ages to experience and participate in music in order to create a strong network of musicians and music supporters that will sustain musical expression in our community for generations to come.

WSO education and outreach programs are funded through grants and individual donations.  If you would like to support our outreach efforts,

Through Music on the Move, WSO ensembles, solo musicians, guest artists, and Music Director perform throughout Central Wyoming, at schools, assisted living homes, and at community events, fostering a love of music throughout the region.  Music on the Move creates fun, accessible, and engaging opportunities for people of all ages.

Music on the Move and the Children's Program

Each year the WSO brings music to over 4,000 K-College students in Natrona County.  Inspiring the community through music, especially our next generation of musicians and music lovers, is at the center of the WSO's mission.

If you are an educator interested in bringing one of our programs to your school, please email rebecca@wyomingsymphony.org.

The Wyoming Symphony Orchestra's Music on the Move program collaborates with Banner Health Wyoming Medical Center to bring the healing power of music to patients, families, and healthcare heroes. The outreach initiative involves professional musicians visiting the medical center to perform live classical and therapeutic music in various hospital settings, such as waiting areas, lobbies, and patient rooms. The program aims to create a soothing and uplifting atmosphere, providing a respite for individuals facing health challenges. Through this partnership, the WSO contributes to the well-being of the community by integrating the therapeutic benefits of music into the healing environment of Casper's Banner Health Wyoming Medical Center.
